Unity In Christ requires a cloud-native, mobile-first infrastructure that is both impenetrable and incredibly fast. As our DevOps Engineer, you will build and maintain the global pipelines that deliver streaming, messaging, and community resources to the Body of Christ. Your work ensures that whether a user is in Cape Town or Seoul, the platform is reliable, secure, and ready to scale to billions of believers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

INFRASTRUCTURE AS CODE: Build and manage our cloud environment (AWS/Azure) using automation to ensure stability and rapid scalability.

GLOBAL CONTENT DELIVERY: Optimise our CDN (Content Delivery Network) to ensure high-quality video streaming and fast loading times for users worldwide.

SECURITY HARDENING: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols, firewalls, and encryption to protect the “secure development environment” and user data.

CI/CD PIPELINES: Develop and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines to allow the development team to release updates safely and frequently.

SYSTEM MONITORING: Proactively monitor system health, performance, and uptime, ensuring the platform is available 24/7 for the global community.

DISASTER RECOVERY: Design and test robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure the sanctity of the platform’s data is never compromised.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE: 6+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

TECHNICAL TOOLS: Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.

NETWORKING: Deep understanding of DNS, global load balancing, and secure networking protocols.
