As the CTO, you will be the primary architect of this movement, transitioning our vision from a South African pilot to a global standard for faith-based technology.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

TECHNICAL STRATEGY & ROADMAP: Define the long-term technical vision. You will lead the execution of Phase 1 (Social Hybrid MVP) and scale into Phase 2 (Global Streaming and Secure Messaging).

INFRASTRUCTURE & SCALABILITY: Architect a cloud-native, mobile-first infrastructure capable of supporting millions of concurrent users with zero compromise on speed or security.

TEAM LEADERSHIP & MENTORSHIP: Build and oversee a high-performing engineering team. You will foster a culture of technical excellence, stewardship, and innovation.

DATA STEWARDSHIP & SECURITY: Implement world-class security protocols. Our commitment is to non-algorithmic, private, and secure data handling that respects the sanctity of our community.

STACK OPTIMISATION: Lead decisions on the tech stack (React Native, Node.js, Python, AWS/Azure) to ensure the platform remains agile and future-proof.

STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION: Work directly with leadership to align technical output with Kingdom impact and business growth.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE: 8+ years in senior technical leadership roles, ideally within high-growth startups or global-scale platforms.

TECHNICAL DEPTH: Expert-level knowledge of mobile and web development, cloud architecture, and end-to-end security.

MISSION ALIGNMENT: A deep, personal passion for Christian unity and a desire to use technology as a tool for Kingdom impact.

LEADERSHIP: Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse technical teams through the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
